Avengers' Rules

Dear Parents or Guardians,

We are pleased to have your child on our team this year! In order to guarantee students learn in the educational climate they deserve, they are expected to follow these rules and expectations. We expect students to:

  • use homeroom time and Tiger Time for studying, completing assignments, library trips, and reading or to request help on an assignment and collect absent work.
  • be on time, seated with all class materials, and ready to work before class begins.
  • be courteous and respectful at all times.
  • remain attentive during class, and to raise their hands when they have a question or wish
       to speak.

If a student breaks a rule the following consequences may occur:
  • Warning
  • Move seat away from the learning environment and/or conference with student
  • Removal of the student from the classroom (Sent to team member)

  • Lunch detentions (It is the students responsibility to inform parents when s/he has had a lunch detention. Parents will be notified of habitual offenses. Classroom lunch detentions are not recorded in the student’s permanent record.)

    • Homework- We expect students to do all homework assigned because it is an introduction to or a review of information covered in class.  Homework does count as part of their grade. Students may receive a working lunch or be pulled from an exploratory class to make up work. Students, who are absent, have five days to turn in missing work.

    • Prepared for class- We expect students to come to class on time with all of their books, class materials, agenda, paper, and pencils or pens. Students who are chronically unprepared/tardy will receive a lunch detention.

    • Behavior- We expect students to be courteous and respectful. Students must follow all school rules.

  • Parent contact
  • Referral to principal’s office
  • Severe disruptions will result in an immediate referral to an administrator
